I recently started listening to more country music, especially the golden age era, and came across this book at a bookstore. The book jacket described an intriguing pair of real-life characters, and from what I knew of these giants of country music, I decided to give it a go. Although I was expecting a little more inside stuff and some outrageous drunken behavior from George Jones, it was still a compelling read, offering insight into how Tammy Wynette found the strength and resolve to “stand by her man.”
