Folk Art in Lake Ann

I missed the opportunity to post this piece in August when I took the picture. I love this artwork and drive by it all the time when I’m in Lake Ann / Traverse City. The signage seems to change over the year, and some details around the figure are reconfigured or swapped with other features from time to time. I have been hesitant to analyze the overall message and want to appreciate the craft and lunacy of the sculpture as a whole. It reminds me of the Borofsky Clown in a tutu in Venice, CA. What do you think?
