Women’s March January 19th, 2019
An estimated 200,000 people protested and marched in Los Angeles today with goals and polices directed at ending violence against women and femmes, ending state violence, immigrant rights, disability rights, racial justice, environmental justice and LGBTQIA rights. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Women%27s_March
On a lighter note it was also the first time the tRump balloon flew amongst the vast crowds around city hall in Grand Park. Boutique demonstrations and political swag was out in force among the larger group of protestors and revelers. It’s a great feeling and a rewarding experience to be amongst all the concerned citizens, I think next year will be an even bigger turnout as people’s rights and climate change issues will be a real concern in the up-coming 2020 election.
