Painted in 2015, Paris Commune commemorates the takeover of Paris by artists, poets, and laborers for two months in 1871 as a power vacuum occurred in that city and the country of France. In honor of this incident. JMe created a work suggesting a city street map with points of interest, applying names of artists and poets who were significant contributors to the historic event. Muted and neutral colors created a mood of aged historical relevancy. The painting is a timeless mixture of content, recognition, detail, and imagination.
