Love on the Line

4th in a series of 11 paintings, Love on the Line brings a directed photographic print into dialogue with acrylic flourishes and hidden painted gems. I completed it today and wanted to share it because, for me, it feels newsworthy: the surface is active, layered, and charged. The image holds a lot of movement within the canvas, while the metadata became its own kind of material—something I had to weave, compose, and collage over time. I am excited by the results and by the way the piece seems to gather information, gesture, and atmosphere into one field. I am also considering framing the series; I think a frame could give the work a strong physical presence. Thank you for looking.
