LIGHT TOUCH is a “Merge” diptych painted in the mid-90s utilizing a Californian color sensibility corresponding to the underlying Los Angeles cool messaging. The left panel is inspired by the ubiquitous California license plate made iconic in the “Sixties.” The right panel features a rainbow of spray paint colors, drawing attention to the sunsets and t-shirts associated with the West Coast. This peaceful, easy composition introduces one of the best and most prolific word combinations from the 1990’s.
