Located at Rowena & Glendale Blvd., the old Silverlake Bar (now Michelangelo’s) had a pool table, dartboard with a mishmash of small table and chairs. By the end they had a 3.2 beer license and still plenty of fistfights. I was told when I shot this photo that the regulars just brought their own alcohol and used the place as a hang out. The window painting was from the early “60’s”. It was destroyed during remolding for a coffee house.
